CellScrew
Die CellScrew ist ein neuartiges Einweg-Zellkulturgefäß mit großer Wachstumsfläche, hoher Skalierbarkeit und Automatisierungspotenzial, das von Green Elephant Biotech entwickelt wurde. Die CellScrew wird aufgrund der komplexen Struktur in einem additiven Fertigungsverfahren (AM), auch bekannt als 3D-Druck, hergestellt. Die neuartige Fertigungstechnologie und das pflanzenbasierte Biopolymer als Material ermöglicht eine Reduktion des CO2-Fußabdrucks im Vergleich mit anderen marktverfügbaren Kultursystemen um bis zu 90 %. Gleichzeitig ist die CellScrew kompakter und einfacher zu handhaben.

Green Elephant Biotech ist ein Unternehmen, das Laborverbrauchsmaterialien entwickelt und vertreibt, und Prozessentwicklung als Dienstleistung anbietet. Dabei will GEB sowohl akademischen Einrichtungen als auch der verarbeitenden Industrie eine Möglichkeit zu bieten, ihren ökologischen Fußabdruck zu verringern und gleichzeitig eine Prozessintensivierung zu ermöglichen. Um dies zu erreichen, basieren die neuartigen, technologisch innovativen Einweg-Laborverbrauchsmaterialien auf erneuerbarem Kunststoff auf Pflanzenbasis.
